At this time we have no ETA for when Tranquility will be up and stable, however updates on server status will be provided here, and via the EVE Status Twitter Feed. UPDATE - 16:15 UTC - TRANQUILITY IS CURRENTLY BEING REBOOTED - NO ETA FOR UPTIME UPDATE - 16:45 UTC - TRANQUILITY IS ONLINE IN VIP MODE FOR TESTING PURPOSES lol only just started this game paid subs etc never online always seems to be having trouble mmmm back to gw2 me thinks . It is actually quite unusual for the servers to 'break down' Stay with the game, it is well worth it. This is not a signature. |

[3] - Quote I have been playing since early 2007 and believe me when I say the server reliability is very good compared to a few years ago. I may have my complaints about some of the game decisions CCP have taken, but I cannot fault them for doing a great job at keeping the game online and running. Give the good folk of CCP a break. :) This is not a signature. |

At this level of SLA (Service Level Agreement), CCP cannot just put the server stable for a few hours and leave it like this, as the peak player count in the past was 35k + players online . The service must be flawless anytime with any numbers of players online. I am not sure on what platform the server runs, i believe is M$ Windows as the forums and everything else have ASPX scripts, but it is my professional experience that tells me that windows based server applications don't work well. Move to Linux/BSD. I also believe that EVE server should be recoded in such way that can be spread on geographical clusters just like Akamai CDN so the load can be balanced over continents. So, stop whining and wait for the guys to stabilize the new system. Right now i am frustrated because i want to buy some AUR and the online store is down :D Super! It is a while since I have seen my favourite thread discussion. If only CCP would do what I think they should do and move to (insert solution here) all their problems would be solved. ![]() If CCP uses Windows (which they do, I think) they should move to Linux, and if they were to use Linux, they should move to Windows, or whatever is my personal favourite.
